Hey folks, just thought I'd share some progress pics of#4 BRW florentine. With the shortage of rags, I hope my neighbor doesn't recognize the BVD's from his clothsline!! |

Mark that is an interesting interface splice plate joining the sound hole braces to the upper transfers brace. Can you elaborate on what drove this design? |

Thanks Guys, Michael, the soundhole baceing around the s/h, I've just played around with, and have experimented with on other guitars. The plate under the transverse brace is similar to what Bob Taylor uses. The sculptured bracing around the sound hole looks nice when the guitar is completed when looking in the s/h. I don't believe it effects the guitars nature other then looks. |

I don't know Michael. It's only my 4th, so I'm sure I won't get what I want, but who knows. Your right, I still have some cleanup work to do before closing the lid!! |

Honestly ya'll, that's a FOURTH guitar?? Whoa. I just never seem to be amazed at the talent level (and hard work ethic) of some of you folks. That's an impressive guitar, to say the very least. |

Thanks for all the great input guys. James, I got the "Red Heart pearl" from Joanne at Rescue pearl which is in CA. I know they have a web site, don't know it off hand, but the search eng. will come right up with it. The shell rosette is .098" and I plan on surounding the sound board and headstock with .063 in the same shell. The perfling directly surrounding the shell is a red dyed perfling which I buy in sheets from LMI. Then wht/blk. Then the outer and inner rings are pretty standard b/w/b perf. |
